The work we do

FST is investing £3,000,000 in the project, with significant amounts coming :from the Chancellor’s Invest to Save Budget and the Big Lotteries fund.

FST SMaRT is a unique working environment. We realise that sometimes people need help getting back into full time employment. At FST SMaRT we give our workforce the opportunity to work in a real workplace, but understand they may need time to adapt to the demands of every day working life.

We tailor our support and ‘on the job’ training to suit their needs. The workforce can attend part time initially, building up their skills over time, until they are ready to move onto full time employment or training. It is our main aim and ambition to get our workforce back into full time work.

Qualifications:

To support the real work experience our workforce will gain, we also offer a wide range of vocational and practical qualifications at a variety of levels. These include qualifications such as basic health and safety or food hygiene certificates through to administrative or automotive training at NVQ grade.
